Why participate? © MEMO 2015

In return for taking part in MEMO a personalised 'Profile' was created for each volunteer containing pictures of their brain and detailing their performance on some of the tasks that they performed. Volunteers were also reimbursed £150 for travel and meal expenses for completing the whole study.

Now that all the data has been collected the careful process of analysis will begin. We will then disseminate our findings by writing up the results for publication in scientific journals. Copies of publications will be freely accessible online and links will be placed here when they are available. Please note that no publication will identify anyone individually.

MEMO is a unique and, we think, important study of memory. So all our volunteers will also have the satisfaction of knowing that they have contributed some of their brain power towards the effort to solve one of the most difficult questions in science, namely, how does memory work.
