I’ve been travelling over the past couple of weeks - first to CoSyNe, the computational and systems neuroscience conference held annually in Salt Lake City, and then on to the Royal Society and Humboldt Foundation’s British-German Frontiers of Science conference, held in Potsdam.
Highlights from the former included a two-day workshop on Information Sampling (where I presented a talk), and a number of cool talks/posters on decision making and how to think about the analyses of high-dimensional neural data.
The latter (where I am now - see photo!) is an interdisciplinary conference, allowing for a mix of young scientists (up to 15 years from PhD) from different disciplines in both the UK and Germany to come together and discuss their science with a diverse audience.
