News & Opportunities

This month has been incredibly busy in terms of awards and accolades for departmental staff!

Professor Cathy Price, Director of the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, has been elected as a fellow of the British Academy. Cathy also received the Distinguished Career Award from The Society for the Neurobiology of Language!

Cassie Hugill, Public Engagement Manager, has been awarded the Provost’s Award for Embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at UCL’s Inclusion Awards 2022.

The Department’s Green Team (Daniel Bates, David Bradbury, Barbara Dymerska, Clive Negus and Rachel Bruce), have been awarded the UCL LEAF (Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework) Silver Award for their efforts to reduce the environmental impact of the department.

The month of July also marked the return of in person social gatherings, the department enjoyed hosting its staff for a summer party!

Vacancies

The Max Planck UCL Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Ageing Research are recruiting a Research/Senior Research Fellow to design and conduct behavioral and neuroimaging (MEG) studies for an MRC funded project “Memory-based sequential decision making”.

Public Engagement

Over recent weeks we have ran workshops with patients as part of, a multi-disciplinary and collaborative Public Engagement project, Patterns of Perception in Parkinson’s disease. The workshops used art to explore fears and concerns associated with discussing dementia within the Parkinson’s community.
