The Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging successfully renews its funding until December 2023

We are delighted to announce that the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology funding has been renewed until 30th November 2023.

Wellcome Centres aim to advance our understanding of health and disease, and span fundamental and social sciences, clinical research and engineering.

The Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology led by Professor Cathy Price has been renewed with a funding injection of £3.7M. Professor Cathy Price added:

“The 2 year extension to our Centre funding will allow us pursue our vision to develop clinical applications of neuroimaging. It also reflects the success that our Centre has had in pursuing this vision in recent years – and is a great credit to  the management, admin, imaging support and IT teams that support all our work”.

The Centre (incorporating the Leopold Muller Functional Imaging Laboratory, The Max Planck Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Ageing, and the Wellcome Department of Imaging Neuroscience) is an interdisciplinary centre for neuroimaging excellence. It brings together clinicians and scientists who study higher cognitive function using neuroimaging techniques. Research groups study all aspects of higher cognitive function including vision, hearing, memory, language, reasoning, emotion, decision making and social interactions.
